The foundation gave €10,000 for life-saving surgery. It ended up giving her six more months of life and allowed her family to be with her during her final months.

Benedetta was an extraordinary 16-year-old girl who received devastating news: she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Benedetta was an endless source of energy and passion. She was a regular gym goer, where she trained diligently in Muay Thai.

After the diagnosis, Benedetta underwent a courageous surgical procedure to remove a significant portion of the tumour. But the battle was far from over, and she went on to undergo cycles of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Fortunately, in Italy, most medical treatments are covered by the national healthcare system. However, the illness posed extraordinary challenges to Benedetta’s family. They had to temporarily relocate near the hospital, leaving behind their home and daily life. Additionally, Benedetta required physical therapy and psychological support, and numerous incidental expenses accumulated during this journey.

The funds the Alan Graves Foundation provided covered these expenses. We provided Benedetta and her family with financial relief during this challenging time so that they could fully focus on her healing and recovery. We are proud to have stood by her side to support her on this journey.

After a few months, Benedetta succumbed to the deadly disease and unfortunately passed away. We are proud to have enabled her to be comfortable and surrounded by family in her final months.
